Update on Korbin

Korbin is doing MUCH better today!!!!! Back to his usual self... except that he slept in til 8:30am!!!! That made me very happy cuz I'm not feelin' too good myself. We are completely moved out of our house and into Mom's. I'm so glad to be done with packing... now I just have to unpack the things I need over here. Not much else going on. Just missin' my hubby like crazy!! He gets to come home for Christmas so I'm super excited about that!!!

Poor Little Bugga

Today my brother & I went down to Phoenix to pick up Korbin's birth certificate (yes he's 18 months old and I just now got it....) Apparently I don't know how to properly fill out the forms because they got sent back to me many times. So I figured I would go there and have them help me. Doing it that way saved a lot of time, so now I finally have it... Then we went to Bass Pro Shop (BAD ASS!!!!) Its HUGE!!!! And they have lots of real fish! Korbin loved it.... We were getting ready to head to Ross so Ty could by pants and I thought I should check Korbin's temp because he felt warm this morning. Well, it was 102.3!!!!! We went and got him some Motrin and it helped for a little bit. He became really lethargic so when I got back in town I called his doctor and we went right over there............ Turns out he has a double ear infection and possible pneumonia! It might just be bronchitis right now but Cathleen Jochim said it could turn into pneumonia. So he got 2 Rocephin shots in his tush and we had to hold him down for a chest x-ray :( Now he's on an antibiotic, steroid and breathing treatments every 4 hours. But the cutest thing today was Korbin saying his ABC's by himself all the way to "H".... after that he said, "nine, TEN!!". I'm not feeling that great either, but baby always comes first. Last year he had bronchitis 3 times! We go back to the doctor on Thursday to see if he's doing any better. I'll let ya'll know. Keep him in your prayers.

uuuuuuggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh

so very hung over!!! had a great night tho. lots of people showed up. we all got trashed! had lots of fun. after we went to casa bonita we went over to zoomers. it was pretty awesome! i'm for sure not gonna be drinking any time soon!!!!! i drank more last night than i have in a LONG time.... uuuuuuuuggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh

To New Beginnings

So today was my last day at work. I'm pretty excited to start something new! Tonight me & a bunch of people from work are going to Casa Bonita to have drinks. I'm really looking forward to it... Korbin is getting sick :( Last year around this time he got bronchitis twice so I think that's what he's getting now. He's really pouty and lovey. Its cute but sad. Jake's doing great... he got to "babysit" a haunted building today while people were doing construction on it. He said it was creepy cuz he kept hearing noises like doors opening and closing and things moving around. He's a nut cuz he volunteered for it. So now I'm gonna brag about my son (cuz he's SO smart!) He's been doing really good about going poo on the big boy potty! He'll go almost every day. He knows sign language for milk, mommy, daddy, baby, friend, more, kiss, and eat. He'll repeat the whole alphabet and the numbers to 10 in english, spanish & french!! To get my attention he'll say MOMMY until I answer him. He tells me to shhhh when he wants to talk to me. He talks so so so much!!! He tells stories and tells us what he sees. He loves talking on the phone. Its so cute cuz he gets the phone and says "Hewwo..... Hey..... Uh doin?". Its so funny.... I love my little bugga.

First Timer

Well, I've never blogged before but I figured this would be a good way to keep everyone updated on in our lives. So here goes... As of tomorrow I am a free woman!!! From my job that is. I've been burnt out on patient care for a while so I finally got the courage to resign. A little scary since I don't have anything lined up right now, but I know everything will be okay. My stress level has greatly decreased in the last few days, so that tells me this is the right thing to do. Enough about me... My super awesome hubby, Jake, has joined the Army (hence Army Wife). We're both really excited about it. He starts his WTC (warrior training course) November 14th in Santa Fe, NM. Right now he's at Fort Sill in Oklahoma just waiting to start. After that he goes to Missouri to start his Combat Engineer training. He'll be there for 8 weeks then.......... who knows! We'll find out sometime in February where he'll be stationed, hopefully in Georgia. That's where we really want to go. Korbin is a year and a half already!!! It has gone by so fast. He's such a big boy, too! So smart. He loves playing outside... especially with Uncle Tyler. He's already a baseball fan. Loves to hit with a bat. Has the perfect pose too!!! He has his momma's temper too. When he gets mad at something he'll hit it and yell at it! Its so cute, we can't help but laugh. I'm almost completely moved out of our house and into my mom's. I am so tired of packing!!! I think that's enough for now. I'll post more when I have more to say! :)
