Big Surprises, My Little Artist, Bats, & Bikes!!!

Since Jacob is training for the next 2 months without a real break, Korbin & I packed up and headed to AZ. Only 2 people knew we were on our way so it was a big surprise when I sent Tyler & Kaycee a picture of their house :)

We were at Amber's having coffee & chatting and Amber decided to let the kids paint. I snapped a few pics between designing a few blogs. (check out my handiwork: http://www.amberberner.blogspot.com/ , http://www.odonnalfam.blogspot.com/ , www.aftonlynn.blogspot.com and http://www.grammalorimarie.blogspot.com/)

This is a bat that was outside my mom's house right by the front door!

This is Korbin's new bike that Grandpa got and fixed up for him!

Tons of new stuff...

So much has happened since I last blogged. Lets start with July: Jacob got promoted to Specialist (E4); we found out I am pregnant!!!!! I'm due March 18, 2010; 4th of July was amazing, we watched fireworks on post and they ROCKED!!!; Jacob and I went to see Harry Potter 6. Only the best movie ever!!!; Jacob was in Missouri for 2 weeks for training, just a little preview of what I have ahead of me during deployment; and we went to AZ for a little visit. It was extremely hot!!!

This month we've gone to the lake & went camping. Nothing too exciting this month. I had my first OB appointment but it was just paperwork and bloodwork. My first ultrasound will be September 3rd (same day as our 5 year anniversary!) I'm a little bummed because I'll only get 2 ultrasounds during my pregnancy as opposed to one every month with Korbin. I think its going to be a girl because I was never nauseous with Korbin and now I'm nauseous ALL the time!!!!

Jacob will be training all of October & November so I will be coming home to AZ for 2 months!!!

who are we again???

I've been very lazy when it comes to blogging. So here's what we've been up to... last weekend was very busy for us. We went to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and the Garden of the Gods. The zoo was HUGE!!! Korbin loved it! Garden of the Gods was beautiful. Here are some pictures:

The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo

Korbin feeding the giraffe

Riding the carousel... it went really fast & I was super dizzy!!

He got a tiger lunch box

Us riding the ski lift to the top of the zoo

The view from the top... gorgeous

Garden of the Gods

This rock is called "Kissing Camels"
This is the beautiful path we walked on... so green!
Korbin loved the caves
Hiding behind one of the rocks
I just thought this bridge looked cool
Wow!
Jacob took this picture on our way out... while driving.
Snow capped mountains, red rocks, & green trees. Amazing!
I love Colorado!!!! It may be freezing at times, but it is so breathtaking and green. The weather lately has been very stormy. Usually warm in the morning, then thunder storms at night. But I love the thunder!

Been a while....

Now that my computer has decided to quit having a hissy fit every time I log on... I can update!!! Not too much has gone on in our lives. Jacob hurt his knee and we found out he has a strained MCL... so he's off PT until sometime in June. Not that he's complaining about that. He can't play softball... that's what he whines about. But he's a good sport and supports his team! They lost pretty bad on Wednesday... 30-something to 4!!!!!

On May 8th we went to our first Army Ball! It was awesome!!! Here are some pics::

This is the beautiful (& crowded) table setting. I, being the clumsy oaf that I am, spilled my cranberry vodka all over the pristine white table cloth!! I hadn't even begun drinking yet... I simply sat down and tried to scoot in and my ta ta's hit my cup and it went everywhere!! I stole the napkin and silverware from the empty seat next to me!! I was SO embarrassed!!

Us before the ball

and us at the ball

Earlier that week Korbin had a play date with a new friend, Isaiah. Korbin is a few months younger than him but they had a great time playing ball and jumping on Isaiah's bed!

This is Isaiah... he has one blue eye and one brown!!! So cute!!!

Isaiah has this totally awesome motorcycle! Its battery powered of course, but awesome none the less!

And it goes pretty fast!!! We had to practically jog to keep up with them!

Well, thats all I can think of for now. Except that in a few hours I'll be on my way to Az!!!! Can't wait to see everyone! Wish me luck on the long drive with a 2 year-old!!! Hopefully he'll sleep most of the way! :)
